I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
